MPC Key 61 pairs a 61-key semi-weighted keybed with aftertouch with the MPC workflow of sequencing, clip launching and sampling. It ships with 25 plugin instrument engines, over 6000 presets and more than 100 effects, including the AIR Vocal Suite for tuning, doubling and harmonies. A 6.9-inch colour touchscreen handles navigation and editing.
Performance controls include 16 RGB velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads, four touch-sensitive Q-Link knobs, a 5.5-inch assignable touch strip, and pitch bend and mod wheels. Two combo XLR/TRS inputs with phantom power and gain knobs allow vocals and instruments to be recorded straight into the unit.
It connects to other gear through MIDI In/Out/Thru, eight CV/Gate outputs, USB ports, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Class-compliant audio interfaces can extend I/O to 32 channels, and a SATA bay allows storage expansion. MPC2 desktop software is included.
