X-Touch Compact

The X-TOUCH COMPACT is a desktop controller built around nine motorized, touch-sensitive 100 mm faders that follow DAW automation in real time. Alongside them are 16 rotary encoders with LED collars and 39 illuminated buttons, which show states such as mute, solo, record arm and level. Built-in Mackie Control emulation lets it work with most professional audio software without setup.
A Dual-Layer mode switches quickly between DAW control and instrument control. The controls come preconfigured for immediate use, and a free editor application, downloadable from the maker's website, allows custom mappings. The unit can also be cascaded with, or expanded by, other X-TOUCH models.
It connects to a Mac or PC through its built-in USB interface with no drivers needed, and a 5-pin MIDI port allows an external MIDI device to be used at the same time. A footswitch connector and a foot controller input provide external control, and a powered multi-TT USB hub offers connections for two more controllers. Power comes from the USB bus, and a switching power supply is also part of the design.
