The TRITON taktile is a USB controller keyboard that also works as a compact synthesizer. It carries all 512 program sounds of the TRITON workstation, so it can be played without a computer. The keyboard is semi-weighted, the same type used in other Korg synthesizers and workstations.
Playing aids include velocity-sensitive backlit trigger pads that can enter single notes or chords in a chosen key and scale, an X/Y touch pad derived from the Kaossilator for playing melodies with one finger, and an arpeggiator with rhythm patterns. The touch pad can also act as a track pad, with a ribbon selector providing left and right click. Standard controller hardware such as sliders and switches is included, along with presets for DAWs so that it can be connected and used straight away.
The unit connects to a computer over USB and can be run on USB bus power from a source rated at DC 5 V, 550 mA or higher, which is sold separately for use away from a computer. The KORG KONTROL Editor and a Control Surface plug-in are available for download, and a software bundle is supplied as downloadable licensed titles.
