The CODE50 Combo is a digital modelling combo amp rated at 50W. It ships with 100 built-in presets that can be edited and saved, and offers 24 digital effects, of which five can run at the same time. Controls on the panel cover bass, middle, treble, gain and volume, along with pre-FX, amplifier models, modulation, delay and reverb effects, power amplifier models and speaker cabinets.
Presets can be uploaded to and downloaded from the Code Presets platform, a shared library of tones from other players. Further controls are available in the Marshall Gateway app for iOS and Android. The amp has a single 1x12" custom speaker at 4Ω and 50W, and there is no effects loop or extension cabinet output.
Connections are a 1/4" style instrument input, a 3.5mm Aux In and a 3.5mm headphone output. Bluetooth links the amp to a phone or tablet for control and music streaming through the Gateway app. The cabinet weighs 13 kg and is finished in black. Software and firmware updates are supported for a minimum of 2 years.
