The 810LP amplifies the signal from a turntable cartridge to line level. It has one XLR and one RCA input pair, with gain settings of 40 dB and 70 dB that cover moving-magnet and low-output moving-coil cartridges. Input loading is adjusted with DIP switches, using the plastic tool supplied in the box.
The audio circuit board sits on a five-point gel-based floating suspension derived from the M-Octave technology of the 850P preamplifier, which is meant to isolate it from microphonics. Power supply regulation uses independent inductive DC filtering, with one inductor for each of the 24 ICs in the signal path. The board is a four-layer design with dedicated ground and power planes in pure copper, and the circuit uses metallized polypropylene film capacitors with 1% tolerance.
The unit has one XLR and one RCA output pair and can be used with the separate 820S external power supply.
