MB2S XBD
Passive three-way studio monitor with two 12-inch Radial bass drivers, a 75mm mid-range dome and a 27mm soft-dome tweeter. It is a higher-headroom version of the MB2S, aimed at stereo or surround music recording, mastering and post production in larger rooms.

The MB2S XBD builds on the MB2S by adding an extra bass cabinet with a second 310mm Radial driver. This raises low-frequency headroom by 3dB below 380Hz, so a larger room can be driven well. In a surround setup, the extra headroom lets the speakers handle the .1 effects channel without separate subwoofers.
Each monitor is a three-way design using Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading, with an effective ATL length of 2 x 3m. The 4th-order passive crossover has 32 elements and sits in external enclosures. These can be mounted on the back of the XBD cabinets. Crossover points are 380Hz and 3.8kHz, and the recommended amplifier power is 250-900W.
Connection is by three pairs of 4mm sockets, allowing tri-wire or tri-amp operation. Suggested amplifier power per channel is 120W for the HF, 120W for the MF and 600W for each of the two LF drivers. The cabinet is large and heavy, at 1740mm high and 88kg.
