T2W

The T2 W is a two-speed belt-drive turntable (33 and 45 RPM, changed electronically) with a 9" one-piece aluminium tonearm, a 1.7 kg glass platter with felt mat and a Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge. It has a spring-based adjustable anti-skating mechanism and a dual-stage split-passive MM phono preamp built into the deck.

The turntable creates a live audio stream from the record and sends it over the home network by UPnP to compatible streamers, speakers and amplifiers. The standard stream is MP3 or FLAC compressed for wide compatibility; a 24-bit/48 kHz lossless FLAC stream works with selected devices such as the Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 Ultra. Streaming to several devices at once is possible, and grouped devices play in sync when grouped in their own app. A secondary stream is available for devices without UPnP support, and AirPlay speakers can be reached through it.

Wi-Fi setup is done in the Pro-Ject Control app over Bluetooth Low Energy, or by Ethernet or a temporary hotspot. A Stream Control button on the side restarts playback to the previously chosen device. The analogue RCA output is separate from the Wi-Fi section and is not digitised.
