DynaCaster

The DynaCaster DCM8 is an all-metal dynamic microphone with an aluminum voice coil and neodymium magnet, using capsule technology derived from the maker's V Series dynamics. It has a cardioid pattern and is addressed from the front, which helps reject room noise around a close source.

A switchable preamp adds 30 dB of gain when engaged and 48 V phantom power is supplied. With the switch off, the microphone works passively and needs no external power. Two recessed switches give up to six EQ configurations, covering low-end and high-end shaping, such as trimming boominess or sibilance, and the recessed placement protects settings from accidental changes.

A three-layer pop filter and a shockmount are built into the body, so no external accessories are needed. The integrated stand mount swivels widely and fits a range of boom arms. Connection is by a gold-plated 3-pin male XLR. The package includes an external windscreen, a thread adapter, a sticker and a manual with warranty card.
