The EW IEM G4 is a complete in-ear monitoring package. A half-rack stereo transmitter in a full-metal housing sends the mix to a bodypack stereo receiver, and IE 4 earphones are supplied so the set can be used straight away. The transmitter has an OLED display for settings.
Transmission works in the UHF band with up to 42 MHz of bandwidth and 1680 selectable frequencies, with up to 16 compatible channels. RF output reaches up to 50 mW depending on country regulations, and range is stated as up to 100 metres. Transmitter and receiver are synchronised wirelessly by infrared, and frequencies can be managed with Sennheiser WSM software.
The transmitter takes audio through two XLR/6.3 mm jack combo sockets and has a 6.3 mm stereo jack output and a BNC antenna output. The receiver runs on two AA batteries for roughly 4 to 6 hours, depending on volume. A rackmount set and rod antenna are included.
