The M-164UF is the top model of the M-164 series. It combines a 16-channel mixing section with a stereo effects processor and a USB 2.0 audio interface. Six mic channels have XLR inputs with phantom power, a hipass filter and a 3-band EQ, while five stereo line inputs make up the rest of the 16 inputs. Channels 9-10 offer RIAA phono preamps on RCA inputs for turntables.
Output routing includes main and sub busses on 1/4" outputs, separate stereo and mono main and aux outputs, and two aux sends that can feed monitors or effects. A built-in meter bridge is part of the layout. The effects processor provides 16 presets covering reverb, delay, chorus and other effects.
The USB 2.0 interface sends 16 outputs to the computer and returns a stereo signal from it at up to 96 kHz / 24-bit, so every input can be recorded to its own track. It works with Mac OS X and Windows, and Cubase LE4 recording software is included.
