The ARTist 3 is a vertical two-way active monitor. A 4.5-inch carbon fiber woofer covers the low end and an X-ART tweeter, handmade in Berlin, covers the highs, with a crossover at 2800 Hz. Each driver has its own A/B amplifier rated at 25 W RMS (40 W music), giving 50 W RMS / 80 W music per speaker. Frequency response is stated as 60 Hz to 50 kHz, and maximum SPL per pair at 1 m is 106 dB or more.
The front panel carries the volume control and the power switch. On the rear are a tweeter gain control (±4 dB) for adapting the top end to the room, and two M6 threads for an optional wall mount. A Stereolink function lets one front-panel volume control set the level of both speakers. A Cinch cable for this link is supplied.
Inputs are analog XLR, RCA and 3.5 mm stereo mini jack, plus a digital USB input. The cabinet is 252 x 150 x 185 mm, weighs 5 kg and comes in glossy black or glossy white. Delivery includes a front cover, the Stereolink cable, a power cord and a manual.
