The Classic Compact MK3 is the smallest model in the ADAM Audio Classic family and uses the same drivers and materials as the larger models. It combines one X-ART tweeter with a 7.5-inch HexaCone woofer, and suits stereo as well as multichannel setups.
In the active version the tweeter is driven by a 50 W RMS class A/B amplifier and the woofer by a 200 W RMS PWM amplifier. Frequency response is stated as 35 Hz to 50 kHz, with a crossover at 2400 Hz and an input impedance of 10 kOhm. The X-ART tweeter has a 4:1 velocity transform ratio and a 0.17 g diaphragm.
The passive version has the same drivers and cabinet but no built-in amplification. It is a 4 Ohm design with a stated efficiency of at least 87 dB/W/m, a frequency response of 38 Hz to 50 kHz and a bi-wiring terminal. Both versions come in black glossy, cherry or walnut finishes and include a front cover and manual.
