The N22 (Gen 2) is a small stereo amplifier for desktop use. It powers passive speakers rated at 4, 6 or 8 ohms, and the maker lists the Audioengine P4 as a matching pair. It delivers 22W RMS per channel at 4 ohms, with a 100W per channel peak figure at the same load.
Sources connect over Bluetooth with aptX, USB-C from a computer, tablet or phone, a stereo mini-jack, or stereo RCA. A built-in headphone amplifier and DAC serve private listening, and plugging in headphones cuts the speaker output. A full-range stereo line-out can feed a subwoofer or other gear.
The amplifier has an internal power supply and a detachable power cable, and it accepts different mains voltages when travelling. An idle mode saves power when no music is playing. The cabinet is hand-crafted real wood, with an integrated stand.
