The MONOPOLY is a 37-key analog synthesizer built as a homage to the early-1980s MonoPoly. It uses four VCOs, a VCF and a VCA, with an analog signal path based on the original circuitry plus VCO, VCF and VCA designs from that era. Key modes allow monophonic, duophonic and four-voice polyphonic playing.
Each VCO has four switchable waveshapes (triangle, reverse sawtooth, pulse width modulation and pulse width) and its own octave, level and tuning controls. In PWM mode the signal can be routed to one of two analog LFOs, which also offer four waveforms and adjustable frequency. Cross-modulation, sync and a noise generator add further tonal range. The filter and amplifier each have their own ADSR envelope.
The Key Assign section provides Unison, Polyphonic and Unison/Share modes, plus a Chord Memory function that plays a stored chord from a single key. A Bend wheel and an MG1 wheel handle pitch and modulation, with a Wheel section to choose their destination and amount. The tiltable front panel carries 62 knobs and buttons, and the rear offers inputs and outputs for filter cutoff, oscillator pitch, CV/Gate and MIDI.
