D32

The D32 combines two 1-inch silk dome tweeters with a 4-inch long-throw mid-low driver in a hand-made MDF cabinet fitted with dual bass reflex ports. Two Class-D amplifiers from Texas Instruments drive the tweeters and the mid-low driver separately through a two-way active crossover, with digital signal processing and dynamic range control. Total output is 60W RMS, split as 15W per tweeter and 30W for the mid-low driver.

The audio path is digital end to end and handles up to 24bit/96kHz. The speaker carries Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. Over Bluetooth 5.3 it supports SBC, AAC and LDAC, and it can hold connections to two Bluetooth devices at once. ALAC is available in AirPlay mode only.

For connections, the D32 has dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi for Apple AirPlay 2, which also allows several D32 speakers to be grouped for multi-room playback. USB-C and AUX inputs are also fitted. A built-in 7.4V/5,200mAh battery gives up to 11 hours of playback, depending on volume and conditions. Controls sit on a keyboard-style panel on the top, and the EDIFIER ConneX app handles source switching, playback control, sound effects and the user manual.
