KASA500
A two-channel Class-D amplifier rated at 250 W per channel, built to drive KEF Ci subwoofers. It suits installers and home-theatre or music sub/satellite systems that need a DSP-controlled amp with line- and speaker-level inputs.

The KASA500 is a Class-D system amplifier with two channels of 250 W each, or a bridged mono mode. Its DSP is tuned to get deep bass from KEF Ci subwoofers, and the firmware includes settings for several THX-certified Ci subwoofer models in both mono and stereo mode.
On the input side it accepts selectable stereo RCA line level, mono LFE at RCA level, or stereo speaker-level signals. The DSP can be configured for pass-through with optional high-pass filters, and the crossover covers 40 to 140 Hz or a software bypass. A 12 V trigger input is provided for switching.
The chassis is a 2 EIA rack-space unit, and optional rack ears are supplied. Firmware can be updated with the KASA500 Programmer, a Windows-only tool that connects to the amplifier over a USB Type A male to Type A male cable. A manual with home-theatre and sub/satellite installation diagrams and a dip-switch EQ chart are available for download.
