The C 389 is a stereo integrated amplifier that combines a UcD-based HybridDigital power stage with a DAC. It is rated at 2 x 130 W into 8 and 4 ohms. Digital audio is handled up to 32 bit/384 kHz.
Inputs cover most home setups: HDMI eARC for a TV, two optical and two coaxial digital inputs, two analogue line inputs with low-noise buffers, and a moving-magnet phono stage with an infrasonic filter. Bluetooth supports aptX HD, and there is a dedicated headphone amplifier. Two subwoofer outputs allow bass to be integrated in different ways.
Two MDC2 expansion slots let the amplifier be upgraded. The optional MDC2 BluOS-D module adds high-resolution BluOS streaming, multi-room control and Dirac Live Room Correction. The Dirac licence is Limited Bandwidth (correction up to 500 Hz) and a calibration microphone is included. The licence can be upgraded to full bandwidth.
