FLEX MINI is a modular matrix switcher that routes video and handles audio de-embedding, transmission, distribution and switching. Each input and output card carries a single port, so a system can mix signal types on both the input and output side, including DVI, HDMI, DP, HDBaseT and 3G-SDI. Three frame sizes are offered: FLEX 9, FLEX 18 and FLEX 36.
Switching is seamless, with RGB/YUV 4:4:4 and 4K60 supported on inputs and outputs, along with EDID and HDCP 2.2. Up to 40 presets can be saved and loaded, and settings are stored automatically at power-off and restored at start-up. Audio can be embedded and de-embedded through 3.5 mm audio jacks.
For reliability the unit supports dual network connections and dual power modules, each with backup. Control is via front-panel crystal buttons, a web interface, an app or RS232, and cross-platform centralised control can cover up to 254 devices. Typical uses include conferencing, television teaching, multimedia halls and radio and television projects.
