MSP 221
The MSP 221 is a compact EDID and HDCP manager that takes HDMI and VGA inputs and provides DVI and VGA outputs. It suits AV installers and operators who need to control which EDID a source sees and set the output resolution.

The MSP 221 manages EDID and HDCP between a source and a display. It identifies the connected display's EDID automatically and can also read, copy and write EDID data using the controls on its front panel. Output resolutions up to 2560x816 can be configured.
EDID can be read from a file on a USB port, and it can be copied from an input. The unit also offers configuration over USB. This makes it useful where a source needs a particular EDID to output the right resolution, or where displays report unreliable EDID information.
It has HDMI and VGA inputs and DVI and VGA outputs, so it sits between mixed digital and analogue sources and displays. It belongs to the maker's MSP micro-converter series. A product brochure, specification sheet and quick start guide are available for download in English.
