The SPD::ONE PERCUSSION is a small metal-bodied pad that plays 22 onboard sounds, including snares, hi-hats, cymbals, shakers, tambourines, gongs and timpani. Sounds are chosen with a 12-position bank selector. A tuning knob, an effects knob (reverb and delay) and a volume knob shape the sound, and separate threshold and sensitivity dials set how the pad responds to touch.
One user sample can be loaded over USB by dragging and dropping a WAV file of up to five seconds (44.1 kHz, 16-bit, mono or stereo). The imported sound can be tuned and processed like the internal ones. The unit also works as a USB-MIDI pad controller for DAW software.
It runs on four AA batteries or an AC adaptor and can sit on a floor or tabletop. The supplied mounting adapter clamps it to hi-hat, cymbal, tom or mic stands with rods of 8.0–12.7 mm. A mono main output and a stereo headphones output are provided.
