The CMS 503DC BM is a ceiling loudspeaker from the third generation of the CMS ceiling monitor range. It uses a new 5-inch Dual Concentric point-source driver with Omnimagnet technology on a Torus Ogive Waveguide, aiming for wide, even directivity, clear speech intelligibility and a linear response. It is UL certified.
It is built for quick installation. A self-aligning three-way clamp system holds it in the ceiling, and the zinc plated steel back can is acoustically enhanced. Wiring goes through a removable locking screw terminal connector, which also provides loop-thru. A low insertion loss 30 W transformer has tap switching accessible from the front panel.
Included are a paintable powder coated steel mesh grille with dust protection, two tile support rails and one C-ring. An Arco style grille that hides the whole unit, and a plaster (mud) ring, are sold separately. The finish is semi matt white, and the speaker is optimised for LAB GRUPPEN LUCIA amplifiers, which can drive up to 8 CMS Series loudspeakers per channel.
