CVS 801SX

The CVS 801SX is a ceiling-mounted subwoofer for background and foreground music systems. It uses a 200 mm (8.00") long-excursion polypropylene driver with a mineral-loaded cone and butyl rubber surround. The driver sits in a UV and weather resistant UL 94-V0 ABS front, backed by a plated steel fire can enclosure, and an acoustic low-pass baffle design lets it run alongside other loudspeakers without a separate crossover.

The speaker ships with a zinc-plated steel back can that includes a recessed termination box. A removable locking connector with screw terminals supports loop-through wiring, and a steel cover with a strain relief clamp is provided for fire-rated cable. Installation uses security toggle clamps, and two tile support rails and one C-ring are included. A powder-coated aluminium mesh grille protects against dust, and the finish is semi-matt white.

Signal is fed through a low insertion loss 80 W line transformer with an easily accessible tapping switch. UL 1480 certification covers fire-protected signalling systems and UL 2043 covers air-handling spaces. A plaster (mud) ring is available as an optional accessory.
