The US-1641 is a 16-input, 4-output audio and MIDI interface that connects to a computer over USB 2.0 High Speed. It records at 24-bit resolution at 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz sampling rates. Inputs 1 to 8 are balanced XLR mic inputs, inputs 9 and 10 take either balanced line or unbalanced guitar signals on 6.3 mm jacks, and inputs 11 to 14 are balanced 6.3 mm TRS line inputs.
On the output side there are four balanced TRS line outputs and a separate balanced stereo monitor output, plus a 6.3 mm stereo headphone jack. Digital connections are S/PDIF on RCA phono connectors, with the digital output able to carry either consumer (S/PDIF) or professional (AES/EBU) format. 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output sockets are also fitted.
Drivers are listed for Windows (WDM, ASIO and GSIF2) and for Mac OS X (Core Audio and Core MIDI). The unit measures 430 x 44 x 280 mm and weighs 3.2 kg. This model has been discontinued.
